What sales managers should known?

1.Sales people are unique and each one has his own working style. So don't try to manage them, use coching insted.

2.They deal with many customers everyday so they are quite busy. If you want to send message to them, you should send them a simple actionable message one at a time.

3.Competition among sales persons are necessary. By nature of their works, sales person love the compettition. You should create compettition environment among them. Create visual chart of sales report for each sales person and put it on the wall this will help motivate them.

4.Reward and incentive must be equal to their effort. If they create bigger sales you must give them bigger reward to maintain their effort. Rewards may be money, incentive or recognition.
